About Me

My name is Michael Schoeffler. I’m a computer scientist and working at the International Audio Laboratories Erlangen as a phd student. My research focus is set on investigating listeners’ responses to sound/music and exploring new approaches for conducting experiments (Web-based experiments, Virtual Reality experiments…). If I’m not researching, I’m trying to spend as much time as possible for supervising my student assistants.

Since my early days as a student, I’ve been running a company with my wife. We’ve implemented a quite comprehensive meta model/model of trade products and connected them semantically. In these days, the term “BigData” is used for describing the things we’ve built so far.

In my spare time, I try to stay in shape as much as possible (I’m about to leave my twenties when writing this).  I like to go running, swimming, playing soccer with my colleagues from Fraunhofer IIS, or doing some general fitness training.
